Hi there, I’m Jackie Christine.
I’m documenting a lifestyle journey – of an independent, ambitious, purpose-driven woman – filled with awesome places and things to explore, things to learn, stories to tell, and noteworthy things to teach. I’d love for you to join me on this journey I’ve mapped out (with open arms for serendipity!). I believe we can enhance each other’s lives – even if only ever virtually.
DISCLAIMER
In case it wasn’t obvious, I hide my last name in this website and my social media profiles. But this is the AUTHENTIC me – both the rawest and best parts that I can share openly online.
All of my stories, articles, etc. are 100% true, although I might change some names here and there. I meet and converse with a lot of people, and I always keep details of others’ lives they share with me confidential.
The lifestyle journey I document and everything else I write here is the basis of a personal project. My full name, online, is heavily tied to my career, and I don’t want that to have any interference with this site right now. I do however share about most of my life here, including my career – just leaving out company, associate, and client names. One day, though, I’ll make the two become one. 🙂
Flirting with an “Extraordinary” Life
I put “extraordinary” in quotes so for it not to be taken as complacent. Ordinary, to me, means living a life you fell into that’s not fully – or maybe not even close to – in alignment with who you really are; what you really desire and need; your talents and gifts; what makes you feel most inspired, passionate, fulfilled and alive; and what makes you feel you’re living your life’s purpose – positively impacting the lives of others and leaving the legacy you want to leave behind. Not living in that alignment is the usual – the ordinary. I don’t want that for me, and I don’t want that for you. I want both my life and yours, my dear reader, to be EXTRAORDINARY.
Can you relate?…
You have a wild spirit. You always have. And you’ve always dreamed big and with lots of heart!
But somewhere along the way you lost yourself, perhaps so much so that you have to work to find out all or some of the intricate parts of who you really are, what you really desire, the person you want to be, and what you want your life to feel and look like.
Lack of clarity can lead to overwhelm and lack of action. So, you stay where you are and keep doing what you’re doing – in the grind of life – while in the back of your mind, you know there’s something more. You have dreams that you keep putting off because it’s just so darn hard to get going. You might feel stuck. Or like something’s wrong or missing.
You might crave to be on top of things in your life and not always chasing your to-do lists; to do work that makes you feel empowered; to carve out more time for inspiration, creativity, pleasures and FUN; to make the most out of your life no matter with where you are or what you have now and all along the way to anywhere you want to be and anything you want to achieve; to live without regrets; to be chill about all the things you can’t control; to feel at peace; and to stay in a positive mindset, always believing the universe has your back and that many blessings come in a big disguise.
…And, simply, to live a life that’s full and that you adore! (even with all the unavoidable challenges)
Maybe there’s a big and difficult life change you need to make – if you’re living in the wrong place, with the wrong person in a relationship, or in the wrong job or career.
Or maybe most of the things in your life feel right to you, but you know you’re not living your life fully and you’re craving that “something more.” You might have a business or book inside of you that you never get to. A gift or talent that needs to be shared with the world. Maybe it’s a social cause that you want to start or be a part of.
Maybe it’s a lifestyle journey or transformation for health or some other purpose.
Maybe it’s a certain type of relationship.
Maybe it’s all of the above.
Or maybe there’s a vision of yourself and your life that’s just an inkling of a desire that you still need to excavate to know exactly what it is. And then you can move forward to work towards it and attract it into your life like nobody’s business. 😉
And maybe, just maybe, what you think you really need is just masking a different need, and when you get into the right alignment, you find that major joy in something else – maybe something completely different or maybe something similar … and maybe it was all much simpler, much more achievable, and much more magnificent than you ever imagined it!
I’m just going to leave all those words there above and go about my way – doing this blog that I’ve wanted to start for a long time now (as part of much bigger plan). Honestly, I write here because I have to – if only for myself. And If I get just one reader who tells me I’ve positively made a difference in her or his life, it was worth it. That’s truly how I feel. 🙂 x

Some more about me…
[Kinda] Personal Life
I grew up in the Bronx and Yonkers, New York. Lived in the country – an hour (north-west) upstate New York – for 10 years. Then, at the end of 2015, I moved back downstate to the suburbs; in one of Westchester County, New York’s Hudson River towns; enjoying life as a bachelorette. 🙂
After three long-term relationships and two marriage engagements – all in which I never felt like I could truly be myself and nearly always felt like I wanted to escape – living “single” and the freedom that comes with it are invaluable to me. When I look into what I desire for my life, I now know exactly what I want a romantic relationship to feel like one day, and I won’t settle for anything less. I have other things I’m focused on doing in my life, and being in a “full-time” relationship is not what I’m seeking, right now. But at some point, in the future? … We’ll see what happens. 😉
Career
I’m a marketing director of a national, mid-sized company, holding two master’s degrees in my field. I mainly work out of my home office space – with some domestic U.S. travel. I began my full-time marketing career at a very young age (still a teenager), earning my first director position by age 26. Throughout my career, I’ve marketed for professionals and companies of all sizes, across many different industries.
Passion Projects
This website and everything born from it are my passion projects, more of what I’d refer to as my Life’s Work. It’s what I’m usually doing at a café on the weekends or on many an evening or early morning on a weekday. Waking up super early, sometimes 4:30 AM and at my desk writing by 5 AM, is a common thing I do (as long as I don’t need the time to sleep more or meet a deadline for my job – also common). There’s a certain magic sparked in me when I’m working while I imagine everyone else is still sleeping. Others I know get this same feeling working late at night. You?
Interests, Hobbies and the Like
I certainly consider myself multi-passionate. But I’ll stick to some basics here…
I’m passionate about writing!!! Recently, I have made it into an almost daily practice – including writing content for this blog. 🙂
I’m a diehard foodie and love to try new restaurants and dishes often. I eat everything and love food from all different cultures. I enjoy coffee and/or an espresso drink every day (along with my daily requirements of h2o 😉 ). Adult beverages of choice = wine (mainly Chardonnay), tequila (Patron) (mixed with Pellegrino and lime when I’m at home), sometimes vodka, and sometimes beer (I like pilsners, as I discovered during a tasting at a NYC brewhouse business meeting a couple years back).
My love for food is balanced out with my love for fitness and nutrition. I keep my workouts simple. I mostly do old-school lifting weights at a gym and a cardio machine three or so days per week. When the weather is warm, I’ll do some powerwalking. Oh, and I’m big on stretching. I complete a stretching routine for a good 20 minutes every single day. For the most part, I eat/drink cleanly and portion controlled during the week, and whatever I want (within reason) on the weekends.
I’m into holistic wellness and alternative therapies. I had some interesting and extremely effective experiences with trigger point therapy, acupuncture, massage, and the like. I plan to experiment some more and document these in my blog. Pursued for personal interest, I hold a certification in holistic health from the renowned Institute for Integrative Nutrition in Manhattan.
I listen to all kinds of music. I would call it extremely diverse tastes in music. MOST of the time, though, I’m listening to 80s hits and hair metal.
I love marketing, business and technology. This is the work I’ve studied and performed professionally for over two decades. Beyond knowing these subjects in depth from a strategic level, I also enjoy getting my hands dirty in the implementation of it all with web design and coding, graphic design, social media, email marketing, and analytics. I do nerd out sometimes. 😉
I love learning. At any given time, I’m taking a course or reading a book. At the time of this writing, I’m relearning Spanish (used to be fluent). International travel awaits. 🙂
Travel and experiencing different cultures are my other loves. I traveled to several different countries before graduating high school and then became a workaholic for many years. Now, my wanderlust is returning with a vengeance. 😉
I could so easily add more to this list. But it all shall soon come through, and/or already is, in my blog writings. 🙂
Follow me for some great insights, information, inspiration + shenanigans. And, if you wish, drop me a message to say Hi. Looking forward to it! 🙂
